MISS JAY HASKINS

1st DEGREE BLACK BELT – JUNIOR INSTRUCTOR OF THE ARTS

Miss Haskins has trained in American Kenpo for the past 21 years, achieving her 1st Degree Black Belt in 2011.  Jay started her martial arts training as a result of experiencing bullying and domestic violence which gave her a determination to take control of her life and stop the vicious cycle.  Throughout her time in martial arts Miss Haskins has successfully competed in National Martial Arts competitions and has trained in various other disciplines whilst with the BKKU.   Miss Haskins is instrumental in the continued success of the BKKU and teaches both adults and junior students at the Exeter Studio.   Miss Haskins is actively working towards her next grade under her Instructor, Associate Master Kevin Mills and when she is not teaching or training she is working in her capacity as Head Door Supervisor in her hometown of Exeter, where her years of training and discipline are put to the test on a regular basis. “They say you can’t choose your family, but in this case I would choose my my Kenpo Family every time” – JAY HASKINS
